August 21, 2020: After learning data management & databases last week we are moving to Week 7 of Google Cloud Next’20 which talks Application modernization in google cloud environment. In the last few sessions, you have learned the topics which talk about Industry Insights from Google cloud expert, Productivity and collaboration, Infrastructure modernization, security, data analytics, data management & databases.

Now. it’s time to know how Google cloud Application modernization helps develop and run applications using open source and other software without operations staff.  This week started with the keynote on App modernization and building trust for speedy innovation. You will learn how Google Cloud Anthos platform helps you modernize your application while managing the complexity of the process. 

Anthos platform will help you ship faster, spend less by going multi-cloud and help accelerate and modernize your application. You will also get to know CloudRun – a fully managed serverless environment which easily builds and deploys. In the mid week you will learn about how VM Workloads can be integrated into Anthos Service mash.

Another topic that will be covered under Application modernization will be Kubernetes Engine. It’s an Enterprise-ready containerized solution with prebuilt deployment templates, featuring portability, simplified licensing, and consolidated billing. These are not just container images, but open source, Google-built, and commercial applications that increase developer productivity, available now on Google Cloud Marketplace.
